Cymbals were pitch-shifted, compressed, equalized, and subjected to other effects in order to make them capable of filling the roles usually occupied by actual drums. Sample was created by looping a "heavy metal" drum pattern with fills from a yamaha pss-480 keyboard. The drums were processed through various pedals and then looped on a boss dd-20 going into a boss me-30 multi-effect.
